S880DB and R2000DB will retail for similar price but they also show different approach to sound. S880DB, thanks to titanium tweeter, sounds clearer, more detailed, more forward and focused while also showing rather lean bass response that lacks a bit of bass depth and punch. R2000DB is the opposite of S880DB, it has good amount of bass and warmer more laid back and not as detailed midrange and top end. In my opinion R2000DB will be a better choice for most consumers who want to use them for typical media consumption like music listening, watching movies and games. S880DB will be a better choice for someone looking for compact and stylish speakers and puts clarity and detail above the deep bass response.
