Watch in HD!!! This is a drum play-through for the song titled 'Ivory' by the band Monuments. Its off of their recent release titled 'Phronesis'.
Although I'm no longer a part of the band, I was very excited when they approached me about doing the drums for the album. I had a lot of fun working with the group. A lot of the parts were already written prior to me hearing any of the demos. I had some creative input here and there, but majority of the drum parts were already written by the band. I was a session guy more or less in this situation, and I'm really happy with how everything turned out. I'll be uploading a few more play-through videos from this album over the next couple of months.
This is my favorite song off of the album for sure. There's nothing complicated at all on the drums. Its just groove after groove, and I can hit hard and have fun. I had the opportunity to play this song live on the only US tour I did with the group. So I was excited when it made the album.
I am available for session work. Please feel free to reach out with any inquiries at AnupSastryDrums@gmail.com.
