The Emperor protects. So I've been playing Darktide again after the recent patch and the soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal. Jesper Kyd did a masterclass on making it both atmospheric and catchy as hell. Definitely one of the most memorable game soundtracks for me in recent years.
So awed and inspired as I was, I got to cooking something with similar vibes as sort of a tribute I guess. Lots of epic choir, weird industrial noises, hard bass and church organ. Some tempo, key and meter changes for the Emperor, a few home recorded and created noises. Percussion was the most fun to make, there's a whole lot and a kitchen sink.
