Abandoned Rapper Mansions Lyrics:
These rappers won’t be welcoming you to their cribs anytime soon. These are rappers who were forced to abandon their lavish mansions. First, there’s Birdman’s palatial estate in his native New Orleans. Apparently, the Cash Money CEO decided to descend from this property shortly after the fallout from Hurricane Katrina and has never looked back. It’s even been invaded by YouTubers who’ve wandered its halls and documented what they found. Today, it’s estimated the property would be worth over $650,000.
Next up, we have Diddy’s deserted Atlanta mansion that he bought for $2.6 million. At some point, he decided that he preferred his Native New York and let the place slip into disrepair for 15 years. Then, we have Nelly’s former home in St Louis, valued at around $600,000 just a few years back after leaving it dormant for two decades, private basketball court and all.
Reported to be worth around $57.25 million, Kanye’s Malibu mansion that was abandoned mid construction is one seriously pricey development gone wrong.
Finally, we have 50 Cent’s 52 room pad in Connecticut which was sold at a staggering 84% discount. Initially, 50 put this mammoth property on the market for $18.5 million. But after it grew stagnant on the listings for years, the house– which 50 bought from Mike Tyson in 2004, eventually went for a paltry 2.4 mil. Ouch.
