If you are out in the sun a lot then wearing UV protective clothing can help. There are wind cheaters and thin jackets available which shield against UV rays. Covering face with a scarf is not adequate also not safe while on a two wheeler. Please wear helmets with visor for both safety and sun protection.
Just applying susncreen will not prevent tan if you have prolonged and intense sun exposure.
