In this episode we take a look behind the scenes of plating line production. We visited the GALKOR plant in Koronowo to get an in-depth look at the entire process. We start with the laboratory, where bath composition analysis, coating thickness and corrosion resistance tests are carried out.
In the design office, technical documentation is created, which goes to the metalworking department. There the steel is cut, welded and prepared for assembly. You will see how the frame for the plastic plating bath is made and how the details for the ventilation hoods are made. We'll also follow the manufacturing process of the plating bath itself, from cutting the plates, to punching the components, to welding and assembling them with the metal frame.
We will then show how equipment for electroplating lines, such as manipulators, centrifuges and drum units, is prepared. We'll also visit a reverse osmosis station, where demineralized water needed for closed-loop systems is produced.
Finally, we move to the Ut-Oil company in Dzierzgon, where a fully automated and environmentally friendly galvanizing plant operates. It has its own wastewater treatment plant, full air filtration and a photovoltaic installation. The entire facility is managed by the cloud-based GALCLOUD program, which integrates all technological and technical data, enabling remote control of the electroplating process.
