Combining Machinery and Skill: Setting a Power Pole in a Tight Space
In the video, a traditional yet practical method for setting a concrete utility pole in a narrow rural alley is demonstrated. Using an excavator's bucket as a lifting point, a rope is tied to both the bucket and the top section of the heavy pole. The pole is then carefully tilted and guided into a pre-dug hole by a worker using a wooden pry bar. This efficient technique combines mechanical advantage with manual skill to install essential infrastructure in tight spaces where large machinery cannot operate freely.
