3 Mega Things to not skip when making house drums. These 3 things are crucial to really land the groove and make a boring beat interesting. The things we're talking about of course are Velocity, Polyrhythms for intricate patterns (that would otherwise be tricky to think of) and, what I call, "kick Trips" or sort of a drum fill thing. This helps turn a 1 bar pattern into an endless pattern that keeps the listener engaged. Now go make some noise!
