‘I told him’: Donald Trump blasts Gavin Newsom as California wildfires rage

President Trump has slammed California Governor Gavin Newsom for mismanaging the state ahead of the devastating wildfires.

Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Wednesday there’s “one thing” Newsom can do.

“Look, Gavin’s got one thing he can do. He can release the water that comes from the north,” Mr Trump told Hannity.

“There is so much water, they’re releasing it into the Pacific Ocean."

Governor Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass have faced calls to resign for their handling of the wildfires.
