Bought this record in the basement of Thames Poly in Woolwich, South East London, back in 1984 while attending gigs there. It has remained tucked away in my collection ever since. However, I recently discovered that this record has become sought after on Discogs. Hence, I decided to upload the entire album for those interested in checking it out.Featuring a diverse array of styles, including New Wave, Indie, Post Punk, Pop, and Goth, this compilation showcases mostly obscure bands, many of which are exclusive to this release. Information about the intriguingly named "Creeping Bathroom" records is scarce online, but there may be some connection to the Greenwich Performance Collective. This collective received a grant from Greenwich council at the time and organized numerous gigs in South London, including at Thames Poly in Woolwich, while also releasing some cassette-only compilations.
Among the standout tracks, my personal favorite is The Papers, a moody, spaced-out, and dubby Post Punk classic. Additionally, I'm a fan of the gloomy Goth rock tune from Dark Asylum and the pulsating Cold Wave vibes from Bzu-zu.
