In this video is discuss making a major change in my life and work going from using a large high quality LED/LCD 32 LG Computer monitor to a 55" Panasonic OLED Television to use a computer monitor. I made this video because there seems to be a belief that an OLED TV is not suitable for a computer monitor because of potential issues like Latency, and Image Retention / Screen Burn.
I have found it to be by a country mile the best computer monitor I have ever seen because and OLED display is currently the pinnacle technology for a compute monitor and I have waited years for them to be sold and still nothing.
Whats even better is the OLED TV is much bigger, much better and much cheaper than most pro grade monitors that offer worse performance, smaller sizes and cost more - the display market is totally upside down.
I have been using the Panasonic 55 GZ950
every day for over 3 months sometimes for 8+ hour video editing sessions and I havent seen any image retention thus far.
I think the benefits of OLED display technology make it a fantastic technology for a computer monitor with the dual benefit of it being a reference quality TV to enjoy as well.
I wanted to spread some positivity about using an OLED TV as a PC Monitor
Ideal OLEDs you can buy for a PC Monitor instead of the GZ950
