Hello! Depending on which country you’re from, this may be my first animatic of 2025 or my last animatic of 2024. I was hoping to get this out sooner, but I was on holiday in Melbourne in Australia and couldn’t get much work done.

Although I typically make mcyt animatics, I felt like making one on how I felt about the state of the internet and YouTube and everything in 2024. Like, is it just me, or did this year suck more than the others?
(On a kinda off topic note, this kinda could be classified as an mcyt animatic since tommyinnit made this song, sooooo)

I don’t have many social medias, I think really just reddit, YouTube and messages, none of the really big ones. Especially not Twitter. Never Twitter. (X, or whatever you call it). But this year still sucked. Both offline and online. Not all of it, but definitely most of it. The Wilbur controversy, the Dream allegations, the Mr Beast stuff, the Kris Tyson stuff, MatPat quitting, Sad-ist allegations, I think Stampy left the Minecraft space although don’t quote me on that one, Captainsparklez said he was gonna leave the Minecraft space too, QSMP ended, Lynja died, and that’s only the beginning. And that just really sucks.

It feels like the “you” has kinda been taken out of YouTube too, with all the stuff designed to grab your attention. I’m glad to have challenged myself to quit scrolling before I got too into consuming short form content, and now I’ve developed a healthy relationship with watching shorts instead of losing hours upon hours watching mindless things.

I just thought I should kinda address the whole internet situation and all that, y’know?



But on a happier note, Marauders fans, I’ve finally finished reading All The Young Dudes (with the help of audiobooks)! It’s so worth the read, and I absolutely adore it. I think the thing that made it so sad for me at the end was watching the entirety of Remus’s life, living through it with him, only for him to die and to have a sad ending. To know that to everyone else in the world, those stories of his life and his friends may as well have never happened, cause he died and for what? That no one will remember those late nights with Sirius and the “Anything for our Moony”s. WHY
