
You can’t help the thoughts that pop up
But you are responsible for the thoughts you conjure up
Scary and anxiety provoking thoughts come up out of nowhere sometimes. What you do from there dictates the day. Shining the spotlight on it, giving it attention, analyzing it shows your brain “THIS IS IMPORTANT. THIS is where we spend our time now.”
Instead, you need to show your brain the message - THROUGH YOUR RESPONSES - that nope this isn’t important. We do not give these thoughts the time of day anymore. They can be there but they don’t dictate anything. Come on, let’s go, off to the next thing!
