Voice leading has always been an integral part of any great music. Much of what is done today has somehow abandoned the need for the beauty that good voice leading can bring to any musical situation. I took some time to reflect on that with this improvisation on a strand of a familiar tune. It is dedicated the recent Super Moon I witnessed while camping under the stars in the woods of Cape Cod.
