Ancient wonders of the world from the Pyramids in Egypt to Angkor Wat in Cambodia have been left deserted as lockdowns and border closures have made it virtually impossible to visit them.

What are the consequences of this change and how has it affected the lives of people who depend on the revenue from tourists to survive?
