-- FR -- YOJIMBO (@yojimbostonerband), quartet de stoner rock, a émergé à Strasbourg en 2019. Porté par une énergie cosmique, des sonorités fuzz aux teintes progressives et des envolées vocales puissantes, le groupe oscille à travers les grooves massifs et catchy du stoner, en passant par les profondeurs abyssales du doom et les paysages éthérés du post-rock. Influencé tant par Elder, Acid King, Windhand, Mars Red Sky, ou encore QOTSA, la joyeuse bande se compose de Sophie Steff (chant/guitare, également active au sein du groupe de folk/rock TWO MAGNETS), Stefan Legrand (batterie), Dominique Pichard (basse) et Florent Herrbach (guitare). Un premier EP éponyme autoproduit voit le jour en 2022, salué avec enthousiasme par la presse spécialisée. Yojimbo poursuit son voyage avec une tournée promotionnelle où il partage la scène avec des groupes tels que IAH, Geezer, Baron Crâne ou encore Villagers Of Ioannina City. En 2025, le combo français est déterminé à conquérir de nouveaux univers et à laisser son empreinte avec la sortie d’un premier album, ‘‘CYCLES’’, disponible dès fin avril 2025. -- ENG -- YOJIMBO ( @yojimbostonerband ), a Stoner Rock quartet, emerged in Strasbourg in 2019. Carried by cosmic energy, progressive fuzz tones and powerful vocal flights, the Yojimbo ship sails through the massive and catchy grooves of stoner, passing through the abysmal depths of doom and the ethereal landscapes of post-rock. Influenced by Elder, Acid King, Windhand and QOTSA, the group is composed of Sophie Steff (vocals/guitar, also member of the folk/rock band TWO MAGNETS), Stefan Legrand (drums), Dominique Pichard (bass) and Florent Herrbach (guitar). A first self-produced eponymous EP was released in 2022, enthusiastically acclaimed by the specialized press. Yojimbo continues its journey with a promotional tour where it shares the stage with groups such as IAH, Geezer, Baron Crâne and Villagers Of Ioannina City. Yojimbo is determined to conquer new worlds and leave its mark with the release of a first album, "CYCLES", available from the end of April 2025.
