Watch in HD!!! This is a drum cover of a song titled 'Happily Ever After' by the band Exist.

I had a lot of fun making this drum cover. The drums I put down don't exactly go to what's on the original song at all, but I purposely tried to embellish the music to my taste. Majority of the playing in this video was actually improvised. I mainly focused on learning the structure and learning any specific grooves or accents that were in the song. Otherwise, I just recorded a couple of takes a comp'ed together my favorite sections.

Just to mention, I did not record the drums for the actual release. The drummer who recorded on the actual release is Hannes Grossman. My version is simply a drum cover.

Some of the members of Exist and I go WAY BACK. We all grew up together playing music in the local Frederick/MD scene. Max Phelps and I were actually in a band together ages ago, which was actually the first metal band I was ever in. Alex Weber (bass) and I also go back because him and I toured together with Jeff Loomis, back on Jeff's support slot with Soilwork.
