Rogal Dorn, also known as "The Vigilant," the "Praetorian of Terra," and the "Unyielding One," was referred to by his gene-sons as "Defiance." He was the primarch of the Imperial Fists Space Marine Legion and one of the greatest heroes in the history of the Imperium of Man.

Described by many as a being of thunderous zeal and stone incarnate, Dorn had a stern, often unsmiling visage framed by a wild shock of short, bone-white hair. His devotion burned with the intensity of a son who wholeheartedly believed in his father's vision for the Imperium, without hesitation or doubt.

It was Dorn who oversaw the construction of the Imperial Palace's formidable defences in the Himalazian Mountains on Terra, which would later be fiercely tested by the forces of Chaos during the epic Siege of Terra at the height of the Horus Heresy.

And it was Dorn who discovered the Emperor’s shattered form aboard the battleship Vengeful Spirit after the Emperor’s fateful final battle with Horus. Dorn placed the Emperor's broken body upon the Golden Throne and received His last words, giving him the guidance to shape the future of the war-torn Imperium.
