In this program, religious scholar and historian Prof. Laura Levitt discusses her latest book, The Objects that Remain (2020)—part memoir and part scholarly—in which she explores how individuals and nations cope with traumatic experiences and losses. At the center of our conversation will be Jewish history and Jewish experiences in the totalitarian regimes of Germany and Russia.

The host is Dr. Mikhail Sergeev, a historian of philosophy and religion. At the end of the conversation – answers to viewers' questions live on air.
