
The Jelly Beans were a five member group that was formed while they were in high school in Jersey City, NJ. The group consisted of one male member, Charles Thomas, and four female members, Elyse and Maxine Herbert, Alma Brewer, and Diane Taylor. They recorded several singles in the early 1960's on the Red Bird Records label before signing in 1965 on the Bell Records distributed Eskee label. Group member, Charles Thomas, wrote this classic titled, I'm Hip To You.
