Did Filipinos come from Australia? This is where they found one of the oldest human fossils ever discovered in the Philippines, but surprisingly, could the fossils actually have come from Australia? These are the Tabon Caves in Palawan, Philippines, researched by American Robert Fox, where he found bones, stone tools, and other signs of humans up to 47,000 years ago! While it is widely believed that the first ones living in the Philippines were the Negritos, experts argue that those bones might be from the Tasmanian people in Australia or the Ainu people in Northern Japan. And, actually, the Tabon Man isn't just one man; but a number of different human fossils, and that famous skull cap might have actually belonged to a woman! Unfortunately, the Tabon Caves, like other archaeological sites in the world, was already looted or disturbed before its discovery but is now a protected site.
