If you're new here, we are traveling to every country in the world and sharing the best bucket list travel experiences as well as trying some maybe "not so bucket list" experiences (can't say this was ever on mine) so that you don’t have to! This "shower" was warm...almost refreshing for a few seconds...until it got into my eyes and mouth.
If you love travel or want to see what it's like to visit every country in the world, we'd love for you to follow along!
And for some more context about the cow pee shower...we did this with the Mundari tribe in South Sudan (country 159 of our trip to every country). This is a cultural tradition for them since the closest water source is more than a mile from the cow camp where they live, and they believe the urine has antibacterial properties that help keep them clean (the men also love that the ammonia dyes their hair orange). They also burn cow dung and smear the ash on their skin to fight infection, repel mosquitos, and as a form of sunscreen. They are amazing people and we loved camping with them. Why did we do it? Because we like to learn about and experience the culture of the people we meet. And the Mundari loved it
Would you do this?!
