Louisiana Slim is the second album by jazz organist Leon Spencer recorded for the Prestige label in 1971. The band on the album featured Leon Spencer (org), Virgil Jones (tp), Grover Washington, Jr. (ts/fl), Melvin Sparks (g), Idris Muhammad (d) and Buddy Caldwell (cong). The tracks are Louisiana Slim, covers of Marvin Gaye's Mercy, Mercy Me and the Carpenters' (They Long to Be) Close to You, and Our Love Will Never Die and The Trouble With Love. Other than the two pop covers, the other three are originals by Spencer.
