The album “Artaud” released under the band name Pescado Rabioso is often considered the greatest rock album to ever come from Argentina but it wasn’t actually recorded by the band known as Pescado Rabioso. This is my second video about the history of the bands of Luis Alberto Spinetta but you don’t need to watch the Almendra video to enjoy this one.

Originally a heavy psychedelic blues rock 3 piece with Luis Alberto Spinetta, Osvaldo “Bocón” Frascino, and Juan Carlos "Black" Amaya, the band recruited Carlos Cutaia at the end of recording their first album, "Desatormentándonos." Shortly after this, bassist Frascino left the band and was replaced by David Lebón for their second album.

The band broke up after the second album and Spinetta continued the name for what is basically his second solo album, "Artaud," which was released in October of 1973 and has been regarded as one of the most important if not the absolute best rock album ever to come from Argentina.
