On April 27th, 2012, the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Young Artists at Work (YAAW) multidisciplinary residency program proudly joined the Bay Area National Dance Week celebration with Urbanian, a free public performance in the open spaces surrounding YBCA, including site-specific physical theatre meditations on notions of equality, environmentalism, economics and education.

The YBCA Young Artists At Work (YAAW) program is a paid, multidisciplinary arts-as-activism residency for youth at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. We're a year-long residency for the next generation of socially-engaged young artists, an incubator for tomorrow's creative thinkers and social changemakers.
