Guess who recently got his hands on both a Roland TB-3 and a TR-8? Yes, this fellow did. And good lordy am I having a ton of fun with them, holy crap. Screw all the whiny analouge-fetishists who don't have to actually worry about rent and bills like, you know, normal people! These things sound great and are a bloody blast to play with.
Plus, of course what does someone like me have to do once I end up with these machines? Try to make some old school Acid House. Rather... basic old school Acid House. But hey why not!
(also I know I don't use the Scatter on either machine at all, even though that's like one of the major features of the machines. I just wanted to make this sound as classic-ey as possible, thus I avoided using)
Technical Details:
-- The TB-3's audio out is being fed into the TR-8's external-in. It also is slaved to the TR-8 via MIDI.
-- The TR-8 is connected to my computer via USB and is being recorded using its built in USB-audio capabilites
-- The audio is recorded via Audacity and has been limited slightly.
