The collapse of the world came suddenly.
At the end of the Third World War, nuclear fire rained down, superpowers fell, and order was lost. The few survivors scattered across desolate lands, seeking refuge in mountains and frozen wastelands, far from the poisoned cities. From the remnants of civilization, new city-states emerged, each bearing the name of a once-great metropolis. These cities were governed not by human rulers, but by the artificial intelligences (AI) created by humanity.
