We had a choice of bedrooms to restore. Maybe we chose badly as we picked a potentially dangerous room for guests. Walls were crumbling, Asian hornets were nesting, the chimney was leaking smoke, the ceiling was falling and rodents had free reign.

The windows with their ice inside and out, were purely held in place by poisonous lead paint on the frames.

Luckily, we have a few months to correct countless problems but unfortunately they start in the attic and on the outside.

Many of the problems in the bedroom have been caused by damp and water ingress from numerous sources. Until we fix those issues, there will not be much point getting the bedroom 100%.
