Dogs have superior night vision compared to humans, courtesy of a unique layer in their eyes known as the tapetum lucidum. This layer reflects light back through the retina, providing a second opportunity for light absorption and improving their ability to see in low light conditions.
This is also the reason why dogs' eyes appear to glow in the dark.
So, when you're out for an evening stroll, keep in mind that your canine companion has a visual edge.
