In January 2011, as Cairo was convulsed by the Egyptian Revolution, in the south of the country, in Luxor's Valley of the Kings, the University of Basel made two remarkable discoveries. It has taken several years for the full importance of their finds to emerge. It's now clear that they have discovered the first tomb to contain a body in the Valley of the Kings since Tutankhamun. The new tomb has been named KV64. In fact there were two bodies inside - the tomb had ben reused by a 22nd Dynasty noblewoman - but the original owner was a princess from the time of Amenhotep III in the 18th Dynasty. Her name was possibly Satija.
