In this verse, Krishna uses a beautiful and powerful metaphor to describe a person who has achieved inner peace.
Krishna teaches that peace doesn’t come from eliminating all desires, but from mastering the reaction to them. A person of wisdom does not suppress desires in fear — instead, they remain calm and undisturbed even when desires arise, just as the ocean remains still despite receiving the water of countless rivers.
Original Sanskrit Verse (Bhagavad Gita 2.70):-
English Translation:-
As the waters enter the full and steady ocean, which remains undisturbed, so too all desires enter into the person who is at peace, and not the one who longs for desires. Such a person alone attains true peace.
Hindi Translation:-
