This is a very clever method of pipe repair. Called Cured In Place Pipe or CIPP, it is an underground pipe repair technology that does not require digging. This method is suitable for repairing pipes damaged by corrosion, cracks or leaks. The process begins by cleaning the pipe of dirt and sediment. Then an epoxy coated flexible liner is inserted into the pipe using air or water pressure. As the liner flips over and adheres to the pipe wall, the resin begins to cure, forming a strong new liner inside the old pipe. As a result, the old pipe does not need to be replaced, but its function can be re-optimized and made even stronger than before.
