After getting news of this old lady, a group of strangers gathered to help her. They dropped by and the old lady was shocked. She didn't remember who the men were but she still invited them to sit down.
After sitting down the old lady started answering questions. She has a child but her child refused to see her or visit her which broke her heart. It's clear that the topic is very painful for her to talk about. The men reminded her to take care of herself but she replied that she doesn't know what for because she just wants to go now. She was to leave quicker. She has been prepared for decades but days passed by one by one day by day. Again and again.
Her family and friends are all gone except for one child. She's all alone and doesn't see the point. The men tried to cheer her up saying there are a lot of good in the world and they also got her new shoes to try on.
They fit well and she loves them. She thanked the strangers. It's unknown what happened that makes the woman's child not want to contact her. Perhaps she hasn't been good to her child. Or perhaps the child was simply ungrateful and doesn't want to take care of his or her mother now that their mother is no longer able to serve them. Let's not speculate in the comments.
