The Lagos State Police Command has praised the Take It Back Movement for staging a peaceful and well-coordinated protest in Lagos. During a media briefing, Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin stated that the protest was conducted without incident—no shots were fired and no teargas was deployed. Throughout the demonstration, he highlighted the organisers' cooperation with law enforcement and orderly conduct.
Hundeyin also used the platform to outline several recent accomplishments by the Command, such as the arrest of suspects behind an illegal baby factory, the rescue of kidnap victims, the dismantling of an internet fraud training school, and the recovery of arms and ammunition.
News Central speaks with Ayo Oni, former Lagos coordinator of the Take It Back Movement, to discuss what this means for the future of protest culture and civic engagement in Nigeria.

Could this be a turning point in how protests are handled in Nigeria, or is it simply a one-off?
