The new Style Spline in SOLIDWORKS 2014 provides an entirely new and simplified process for creating smooth geometry. Style Splines do not use Spline Points, which require several parameters, but instead use simple Construction Geometry to define size and position. Users can add familiar sketch relationships to this geometry to control it. Furthermore, Curvature remains smooth and continuous through the entire Spline, and inflections across the Spline are always kept to a minimum automatically.
