Welcome to another They Are Gone series video!
"Sometime in the distant future, when humanity was finally able to bend spacetime, it sent a giant ship full of settlers to one of the nearest exoplanets, Proxima Centauri B, with acceptable conditions for life. Their mission was to build a large, self-sufficient base and thus provide a safe point for journeys into even greater depths of space. The problem arose when, after a few months, this crew stopped responding to messages and calls from Earth. An expedition was organized to find out what happened on a distant planet. After arriving at the site, the investigators found an unreachable base but not a single settler. After a detailed study of the records of their activities, they found indications that the settlers had at some point been contacted by an extraterrestrial civilization that was somehow responsible for their disappearance. It was telling that most likely the settlers left their new home near the star Proxima Centauri voluntarily. What was behind their sudden decision? What wonders were shown them that they gave up their earthly inheritance? Or was it some kind of fraud or deception that they succumbed to? Or is the cause of their disappearance somewhere completely different? The answers vary and the number of theories increases. However, until the settlers, if alive, decide to contact the earthlings themselves, there is little chance of knowing the truth. An unexplained event on the planet Proxima Centauri B has become known as The Exoplanet Incident and has been the source of several safety improvements for a deep space travels."
