
The event was a spin-off from a choir workshop hosted by Israel Allen and Marlon LeGall in February to expose primary school teachers to various techniques in choir singing, conducting, technical layout, performance techniques, and directing.
Acting Education Officer in the Curriculum Section at the Ministry of Educational Transformation, Randy Eastmond, says participants at the workshop were given 14 weeks to plan a performance for the choirs at their respective schools.
Music teacher at St. Leonard's Boys', Pernell Farley, says he is hopeful the training for teachers will help to enhance musicality and chorale singing in primary schools.
