Now available for the first time on DSPs, Maison De Funk present UK conscious rap canon, the "Star Women EP" by Poetic Pilgrimage, produced entirely by Blaq Medici.

Having a global impact as the first Muslimah rap group, Poetic Pilgrimage blazed a trail from Bristol to London, Germany, Sweden, Morocco, South Africa and beyond - featuring in documentaries by both the BBC and Al-Jazeera.

Star Women, their 2nd release, features heavyweights from the UK conscious scene - People's Army founder Logic, legend Genesis Elijah, elite vocalist Sarina Leah and noted emcee/singer Shadia Mansour.

Highlights include the majestic anthem "Beautiful" a searing ode to women worldwide growing up under hardship, the all-female 5 emcee posse cut "Star Women Anthem", and inspirational opener "Reaching for the Stars".

The hand-drawn artwork by Monti Moltisanti captures the essence of Poetic Pilgrimage's authentic, spiritual, uplifting take on Hip-Hop.
