Together, we're baking a CLASSIC AMERICAN PIE using premium @TasteOfAmerica ingredients. From flaky crust to sweet fillings, we're sharing secrets and laughter along the way!

But that's not all! We've also got a refreshing MOCKTAIL recipe to quench your thirst. Trust me, you'll love it!

Ingredients -
For the Apple Pie -
FOR THE SHORTCRUST-
• 175 gm all purpose flour
• 20 gm powdered sugar
• 85 gm chilled butter
• 40-50 ml ice cold water

FOR FILLING -
• 7 Granny Smith apples, chopped
• 6 tsp chai masala
• 6 tbsp brown sugar
• 1 tsp lime juice
• 3 tbsp butter
• 2 tsp cornflour

FOR STREUSEL -
• 120 gm flour
• 80 gm American pecans, chopped
• 80 gm fine brown sugar
• 80 gm castor sugar
• 85 gm melted butter

EXTRA INGREDIENTS -
Butter pecan icecream

Method-
1. For the shortcrust pastry: in a bowl add flour, powdered sugar and mix well.
2. Add butter and mix until it resembles bread crumbs.
3. Add chilled water just enough to bring everything together. Do not knead the dough.
4. Cling wrap and refrigerate for 40-50 minutes.
5. For the filling: combine apples, brown sugar, chai masala and lime juice together. Set the mixture aside for 20 minutes.
6. After 20 minutes, transfer mixture to a strainer and collect all juices in a bowl.
7. Cook juices along with cornflour on medium low flame until the mixture turns slightly sticky.
8. Turn off the flame, add in butter and mix well.
9. Let it cool and then, mix with apples.
10. For the streusel: mix together all the ingredients and set aside.
11. For assembly and baking: take dough out of the fridge.
12. Take 2 sheets of baking paper, place the required portion of the dough in between them and roll into a round disc.
13. Transfer the rolled pastry over a tart mould and tuck in the dough with your fingers, making sure it is smooth and even.
14. Trim off the excess dough from the edges, prick the pastry all over and refrigerate it for 30-45 minutes.
15. Fill the tart with prepared apple mixture. Pile mixture high and pack tightly.
16. Top up the pie with streusel and bake in a preheated oven at 180° C for 45-50 mins.
17. Remove, slice and serve with butter pecan icecream, and enjoy!

For the CRANBERRY SPRITZER
Ingredients –
• Fresh U.S. cranberries
• Granulated sugar
• Fresh orange juice
• Soda
• Sugar Syrup
• Ice cubes

Method-
1. Macerate cranberries along with sugar.
2. Add in soda, a squeeze of fresh orange juice, sugar syrup, and mix well.
3. Add ice cubes into serving glasses, pour in cranberry spritzer and serve immediately.
4. Enjoy!
