The trench run ☠️⭐️ When I found this bridge on the map, I knew immediately that it was a special place. The street view of the spot looked incredible, and street view is notorious for making things look boring. One afternoon we set off with some bikes determined to check it out. We got to the trailhead in the middle of nowhere, and rode our bikes for about a mile - unsure of what we would find, but determined to check it out. Immediately upon arrival I knew it was the right decision.
This bridge was an old rail bridge that had been converted into a bike path almost 150’ in the air. The trestles were wide enough to safely fly through, and the bike path had been converted into the beautiful structure you see in this reel. I was hooked immediately. The only negative is this bridge is solidly in bear country, and you’re completely blind when flying FPV 😅 Luckily I had Caitlin to watch my back with a can of bear spray.
