Siraj Wahaj is a Muslim community leader in Brooklyn, New York. He evolved from the Nation Of Islam and the Ministry of W.D. Muhammad, to be embraced the Ahle Sunnah sect of Muslims in Islam. Siraj Wahaj and the Muslim community of Masjid At-Tawqa are best known for their successful jihad i.e. physical war against the Jamaican Posse on the streets of Bed-Stuy. In 1985, the Muslims drove the Jamaican posse out of Bed-Stuy and made the area of Fulton and Bedford safe for any good person who visits. It remains an Islamic no-go zone for criminals.

The Muslim community of Masjid At-Taqwa accomplished what the pseudo Black Muslims only preached about, but never achieved. After restoring morality in the Brooklyn community and making it safe, tribes of Muslims from West Africa poured into this section of Bed-Stuy and enriched it from its former slum status. This 1991 khutba reflects the spiritual teachings of Islam that actually work to uplift a fallen community. Those teachings are called Al-Quran, the proven remedy that cures the heart.
