Two stranded Boeing Starliner astronauts finally have a way home as SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule docked at the International Space Station (ISS) on Sunday.
The capsule, carrying NASA astronaut Nicholas Hague and Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov, arrived for a five-month mission to rescue the stranded astronauts.
Once aboard, Hague and Gorbunov reunited with Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, who organized a welcome ceremony with the ISS crew. The Crew Dragon has two empty seats for Wilmore and Williams, who are set to return to Earth in February, concluding their ordeal that began with a Starliner malfunction on June 5.
