John Lennon started recording his Rock'n'Roll album in October 1973. It was finally released in February 1975. A product of John's "Lost Weekend".
So many troubles along the way...'
Producer Phil Spector ran off with the tapes.
Morris Levy, Chuck's publisher, got hold of the tapes for John's Rock'n'Roll album and prematurely released them as the album, Roots: John Lennon Sings the Great Rock & Roll Hits.
