Here's an extended look of street footage of the screens around Shibuya in Tokyo featuring Mirrored Madness, my collaboration with Danish sound artist SØS Gunver Ryberg. Thanks again to Neo Shibuya for this amazing opportunity to show my work in the city center of one of my favorite cities.

Mirrored Madness (2023)


In Mirrored Madness, an ecosystem of cyber organisms unfurl their forms, pulsing to life with hypercomplexity, revealing the sinuous contours of their intricate, biomorphic designs. The dynamic visual aesthetic proposes a positive futurism, like a new digital bioarchitecture to frame the depth of sounds established in the concept behind SØS Gunver Ryberg’s album ‘‘SPINE’’.

「defasten」という名前で出版しているパトリック・ドアンは、ドイツのベルリンを拠点とするカナダ人のビジュアルアーティスト。 デザイン、映画、建築のバックグラウンドを持つ彼は、ライブ パフォーマンス、ミュージック ビデオ、インスタレーション、ストリーミング イベントなどのためのダイナミックな 3D リアルタイム グラフィックスを制作している。
主に文化および音楽業界で活動する彼の未来を見据えたビジュアル デザインは、オーディオに反応し、生成的で、解体された幾何学的なオブジェクトとして存在し、シミュレートされたデジタル リアリティを確立している。
パトリックはオンラインを含めて 25 か国以上で展示を行ってきた。イベントと会場には、The New Museum (NYC)、Ars Electronica、CTM Cyberia 2021 (Xquisite Force SFX)、東京の WWW での後藤卓氏とのトランスメディアレ (2016 年)、Azu Tiwaline との MIRA 2021、上海での FLARE 2022、BRDG Channel 22 が含まれます。 ヤポリガミ（東京2020）、SIGGRAPH.
音響研究集団 AUDINT (2015 ～ 2021) のメンバーとして、彼らはアンサウンド、テート ブリテン、テート モダン、アレバイト ロンドン、ソナー イスタンブール、MUTEK モントリオール、ループ ベルリンで作品を発表した。
