This is my Mirage to Hard Rock Las Vegas transformation update taken on Friday, December 20, 2024. Today's video was taken from the Venetian hotel with my zoom camera so I could try to zoom in to get a better look at the progress. The first thing that I noticed with the building was that they were starting to remove the Mirage signage from the top of the hotel. One wing signage was already removed and the other one had some of the lettering removed. While I was driving home after filming, I noticed that the back side of the building had the signage already removed.
The other thing I wanted to check out was the Atrium. In last weeks video, we saw the glass removed and steel cut at the top. There were many comments that the atrium is coming out. I do not know if it is or not, but the renderings that I saw show it still there. I put a picture of the rendering to show what I'm seeing. I guess time will tell if it's staying our going. I didn't see anyone working on the giant rebar cages today.
