David Gergen is an American political commentator and former presidential adviser who served during the administrations of Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton. In 1981, David Gergen joined the Reagan White House, first as staff director, then eventually as the Director of Communications.
