In fact, as we found out in her Art of DJing, Avalon Emerson's approach to CDJ-hacking is so technical that she was concerned she might come across as "not a vibeman."

Avalon Emerson's skills and expansive, pop-positive approach have cemented her place as one of the most dependable draws in the game. Multiple tributaries flow through her sets, from ravey breaks to sunrise anthems, plus the odd sprinkle of electroclash.
"I'm obsessed with optimisation," she told Elissa Stolman back in March 2019. "I would like to use the computer for what it's good at, so that it frees up the human side of me."
