The kaupapa behind the music video was to explore the relationships of Chris's friend circle, and interview them. Chris wanted to use the b side of the song to explore their relationship and ask them thought provoking questions about what they'd learned along the course of their relationship. Whilst traveling back home with emerging videographer Oliver Jennings” to film the video, Chris was in a tough point in his relationship and was on the cusp of breaking up with his partner. However, during the process of shooting Chris reflected on the rhetoric of the couples he was shooting and decided to make things work. It seemed like a very full circle moment, the song he wrote about his relationship came back around to save his relationship.
