The Friedman BE Mini is a pint-sized solid state version of Dave Friedman’s celebrated full-sized BE amp heads. The BE Mini is actually a combination of a 30-watt power section and the BE preamp circuit. Made in China and costing only about €299/$329, it’s a great way to get its big brother’s signature British-voiced harmonics, grind, and punch for way cheaper.

The BE Mini looks great and feels solid, and straight away Perfecto gets some pretty thick Marshall-esque tones. The amp’s fairly versatile considering it’s one channel only, and it’s loud enough to rehearse or even gig with in some situations. It’s also ideal for recording at home, as you can plug it straight into your audio interface or mixer.

I wish we’d had a bit more time to show you the BE Mini, but on the day we had very limited time as we had 20 minutes to make this video and also videos on two other mini amp heads – the Bogner Ecstasy Mini and the Diezel VH Micro! You can see those videos here:

If you liked this video but want to hear more, let me know in the comments and I’ll push the guys at Friedman/Boutique Amp Distribution to send me one at home to do a full demo and review of it in peace.
Enjoy!
