This is the first song I ever learned to play when I was around 8 years old... my dad printed me out the chords and lyrics for it and got me a ukulele and set me up at a music stand in his study. A big part of my musical journey (learning to sing and play an instrument at the same time) began with this song, and these are the lyrics he taught me, while this song has many different versions. These folk tales have always been home to me, and I have my dad to thank for that. So here is me at 31 playing this same old tune... trying to make my 8 year old self proud I guess.
